Your right to cancel
If you buy from us online, you can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days after you receive the goods. For a pre-order, you can also cancel at any time before the tent is delivered.
Custom mounting brackets. If your car needs one-off brackets made just for it, £100 of the price pays for them, and once your batch closes and they are made, that £100 is not refundable if you cancel or return the tent. If your car uses a standard bracket we can reuse, as on the Land Rover Defender, there is no charge. We tell you which applies when you send your roof photos. The £100 is always refunded if the tent or brackets are faulty or not as described, or if we deliver more than 30 days late, and if you cancel before your batch closes you get everything back. Made-to-order goods are not covered by the 14-day right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 28).
To cancel, tell us clearly by email to hello@bryntent.co.uk, with your name and order details. You do not have to give a reason.
Sending the tent back
- Return the tent within 14 days of telling us you want to cancel.
- You pay the cost of returning it, unless it is faulty or not as described. You can drop it off with us in Cardiff free of charge, or we can arrange a courier collection and take the cost off your refund.
- A boxed tent weighs 58 to 74 kg and is up to 195 cm long, so it cannot go by normal post. We estimate a courier collection from mainland UK at up to £120.
- Pack it in its original box with all parts. Keep it unused where you can: you may try it as you would in a shop, but we may deduct from your refund if you have handled it more than that and it has lost value.
Refunds
We refund the price you paid, less £100 for one-off custom brackets once they are made (no charge for standard brackets we can reuse), and the standard delivery charge, within 14 days of receiving the tent back (or of you sending proof that you have posted it, whichever is earlier). We refund to the payment method you used.
If you cancel a pre-order before your batch closes, we refund your deposit in full. If you cancel after it closes but before delivery, we refund everything, except £100 if one-off brackets have been made for your car, to the card you used within 14 days of your cancellation.
If something is wrong with the tent
The tent must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose and as described. If it is not, you have legal rights, including a short-term right to reject within 30 days and a right to repair or replacement after that. These rights apply on top of anything in this page and are not affected by it.
