Delivery, collection and warranty
How you get your tent, and what happens if something is wrong.
When
We order from our maker in batches of five tents (any mix of sizes). A batch closes when five tents are ordered or on the 15th of the month, whichever comes first. If fewer than three tents are ordered by the 15th, we may move them to the next month's batch; we will tell you, and you can cancel for a full refund. When a batch closes we email you, and the tents travel by sea. Your tent arrives about 8 to 10 weeks after your batch closes. We email you when it is in the UK and ask for the balance then, before we send it out or you collect it.
Collection in Cardiff
Collect free from Cardiff by appointment; we email you to arrange a time. A boxed tent weighs 58 to 74 kg, so bring a second person and a vehicle that takes a box of 155 to 195 cm long (the Max box is 195 × 130 × 20 cm).
Courier delivery
We can arrange delivery across the UK. Delivery is not included in the price: you pay the courier cost. A boxed tent goes by pallet courier to your kerbside, which usually costs about £80 to £120 to most of mainland England and Wales, and more to Scotland and remote areas. We confirm the exact price before you pay the balance. The tent arrives boxed and heavy; please arrange help to unload it.
Fitting
The brackets made for your car come in their own package, with the bolts. On our own Land Rover Defender 110, with a Max, two of us fixed the four brackets to the roof rails, and four people lifted the tent on easily. No special tools, and no need for a garage. We do not offer a fitting service. Read the fit guide and follow the maker's instructions, or ask a local roof-bar specialist to fit it for you.
Warranty and spares
Your UK consumer rights apply in full: the tent must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If anything is wrong, contact us and we deal with it from Cardiff, including spare parts from our maker. See returns and cancellation.
