Who is responsible
Bryntent Ltd (trading as Bryntent, company number 17560660), 1 Nant-Fawr Court, Cardiff CF23 6JY, Wales, is the controller of your personal data. Contact: hello@bryntent.co.uk.
What we collect and why
- Reservation form: your name, email, vehicle details and message. We use them to reply to you and to take your order. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
- Chat assistant ("Ask a question"): the questions you type and the answers. They are sent to DeepSeek, an AI service run by a company in China, which writes the answer; DeepSeek processes them on its own servers under its own privacy policy, so they leave the UK. We do not save chats; the conversation is kept only in your browser tab (session storage) until you close it, so it can follow you between pages. Please do not type personal details. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions about our products.
- Fit check ("Check my car fits"): the answers you give (who is sleeping, your car, roof figures) are worked out in your browser. A short summary, without your registration, joins the chat so the assistant can answer follow-up questions. If you add a photo of your roof or handbook page, it is shrunk in your browser and sent once to DeepSeek to be read; we do not store it. Please photograph the roof or the page, not people or number plates. Your registration never goes to the AI: it is only included in the email if you choose to send your fit check to us.
- Orders: name, email, phone number, billing and delivery address, and order history. Card details are entered on Stripe's page and never reach us; Stripe tells us only that the payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card. Lawful basis: contract and legal obligations such as tax records.
Who sees it
The website is hosted by Vercel, which receives your IP address when you load a page. The site sets no cookies unless you accept them. If you click “Accept” on the cookie banner, we load the Meta Pixel, which sets Meta cookies and tells Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) which pages you visit and whether you start a reservation, so we can measure our adverts on Facebook and Instagram. Meta is a separate controller for its own use of that data (facebook.com/privacy/policy). The same Accept click also loads the Google Ads tag, which sets Google cookies and tells Google (Google Ireland Ltd) which pages you visit and whether you pay a deposit, so we can measure our Google adverts; Google is a separate controller for its own use of that data (policies.google.com/privacy). If you click “Reject”, or do nothing, no Meta or Google code loads. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser. We also count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and stores no personal data: it records page views, the referring site, and the country, browser and device type in aggregate, so we can see which pages are used. The site loads no third-party fonts. If you use the chat assistant, your questions go to DeepSeek as described above. When you choose to pay by card you leave this site for Stripe's own payment page; Stripe is a separate controller of the payment data, may use its own cookies there, and may process data outside the UK (see stripe.com/gb/privacy). Our email provider handles messages. If you sign up for updates on our updates page, your email address is stored by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) so we can send you news about batches and fitting; we email you first to confirm (double opt-in), and every email has an unsubscribe link. We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing unless you ask for it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries: 12 months after the last message. Order records: as long as tax law requires (currently six years).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy. Email hello@bryntent.co.uk. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
